Goose bumps are tiny, raised protuberances on your skin. People often get goose bumps when they're scared or excited. If someone really cute walks by or if you watch a scary movie, you might get goose bumps.

Ever notice how when you suddenly feel a chill, or are filled with excitement, there are little pimple-like bumps on your arms? Those are called goose bumps, which do resemble the skin of a goose. You can't control goose bumps; they just happen. People often talk about goose bumps when they're very excited. If you were waiting in line to meet a singer you love, you might get goose bumps.
